Meet Our Team 

Cynthia Gurne (Cindy)

Director, CareerCentralonLine and Executive Producer of The Workforce Show.

Cynthia has been in the field of workforce and human resource development for over thirty years. Working with organizations in the public, private, education and not for profit sectors, she has designed recruiting, training and career development programs.

She began her career working with the US Army in Korea and Germany as a director within the special services military support group. Since that time she has worked as a director , consultant and program manager of several programs in the field of recruiting and career development for such organizations as CDW, ADECCO, Cable and Wireless and EPA

Her graduate degree is with George Washington University, M. Ed. Adult Development/Education.

Atilla Kocsis

IT Development, Entrepreneur
Atilla is Career Central's IT Manager. He handles all Career Central's technology decisions and implemention.

Atilla is also an entrepreneur who works for other internet consulting ventures along with real estate investment company and a Software as a Service (SaaS) start up.

Atilla sits on the Board of Trustees for Alexandria Country Day School and the American Hungarian Federation.

Atilla earned his BA in Economics from Clark University in 1991. Atilla is married and has two children, Vivian, 9 and Alexander 7.

Mr. Thomas is an accomplished business executive with extensive years of successful experience at varied and notable companies and organizations. He has been requested on many occasions to be a guest panelist and keynote speaker on numerous human capital and career coaching and transition topics. He has been very active providing career coaching to clients, and conducting workshops and presentations to working professionals and professionals in transition.

He is President and Founder of J. E. Thomas & Associates, a Personal Career Coaching firm. His key focus is devoted to providing individual career coaching to professionals in transition as well as working executive professionals needing advice and counsel to achieve career aspirations. His Transition Road Map "secret sauce" methodology has had a positive impact on getting professionals back to work. He continues to provide human resources consulting to small and medium size companies on issues involved with organization and HR forensic assessments, executive development, compensation, senior level management issues, and employee relations matters. Also, Mr. Thomas hosts the Career Secret Sauce Segment radio show as part of The Workforce Show series on WERA 96.7 FM, Arlington. This show is devoted to interviewing successful professionals and discussing their distinctive secret sauce factors. Mr. Thomas has served as interim CHRO for NeuStar, and INOVA Health during their transition to a full-time HR executive. Previously, he served as the EVP, Human Resources & Administration for webMethods, Inc. (a publicly traded software company). In this role, he provided leadership to the human resources, facilities, and information technology departments worldwide.

Other professional experience spans notable diverse companies and organizations. He has held HR management or executive level positions at Ford Motor Company, Lockheed Martin, American Red Cross-National Headquarters, LCI International, and 2nd Century Communications. Mr. Thomas is an Advisor consulting on human resource and investment matters to Chalant Health (an early stage company). He has served as Vice Chair of the Northern Virginia Employer Advisory Committee (an affiliate organization with the Virginia Employment Commission); the Board of the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia; the Advisory Board of Horne International (a public company); and the Board of the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp).

Mr. Thomas holds BA and MA degrees from Montclair State University
